The Handful Bra Giveaway!

It's Friday!  The sun is shining (finally)!  And I have a fantastic giveaway to kick off the last weekend in June! Yes, that's right Runninghood friends, I'm finally able to share one of my favorite things with one of YOU!  If you are a regular reader of my blog then you know how much I love my Handful Bra.  I've mentioned my love affair with this seemingly "made for me" item many times.  And now I'm so excited to share one with you!

After having three kids, nursing all of them, and then getting serious about running again, I realized just how unflattering and nonexistent my boobs had become.  My perfect B cups were now something that resembled deflated balloons or wilted bananas. Not that I should care, but putting on my tight sports bras and racing tanks left me feeling more like a 12 year old girl instead of the 32 year old woman that I am.  I always wished that they made a sports bra for women like myself who still wanted the perfect function of a great product but also wouldn't mind a little help looking good while they "perform".  And then I found it...finally!  I was getting some new shoes in Portland Running Company after my chiropractic adjustment and there she was...my Handful Bra!  We've been together ever since.  I don't just wear my Handful bras for running and exercise.  I wear them with everyday clothes as well. In fact, I went to the pool with a friend this week and I wore my black Handful bra instead of my normal Nike swim top.  What's also so neat is that the Handful bra was designed by a fellow runner!

Some Handful Basics and Random Tidbits
  • The Handful comes in several colors: black, pink, cocoa, white, and nude.
  • It comes with a mesh bag so that you can wash it and the pads separately and safely.
  • I use my mesh bag for other things too...it has become my favorite little bag to take with me on race day to put my Garmin, Fuel, phone, etc. in.
  • You can wear your Handful with or without the removable pads.  This is great for those of you that don't always need or want extra padding. For me, this isn't really the case.
  • The Handful bra can be worn for everything.  It is stylish so it is great for yoga, a swim top, wearing under tanks, running and exercise.
  • I often find myself choosing my Handful bra instead of my Victoria Secret's miracle bra that I spent so much money on.
  • It is comfortable! Even to race in.
  • Perfect for all you A and B cups out there that just want a little oomph!

Want one?!  Here's what to do (leave a comment for each one telling me that you did and if you can't comment on here for some reason, then you can comment once for all of these on my Runninghood Facebook page letting me know you did these things):
  1. Tell me why you want one (even if it is for a friend).
  2. Go "like" Handful on Facebook, tell them how great their bra is and let them know that Runninghood sent you and what color you'd want if you won.
  3. Follow Runninghood.
Extra credit:
  1. Share this giveaway on your blog.
  2. Share this on Twitter, FB, etc.
I'll choose a winner on July 5th so you have through the 4th of July to share this with all your friends who could use a Handful!

For the motherhood readers of Runninghood who have asked about the Jewel Fairy gig that we have going on around here, I finally posted a video/how-to post for you on how it all works.

Happy Friday!
Amanda

  1. Like you my barely B's are barely there after breastfeeding. And the additional toll running takes on them leaves me thinking the Handful Bra might be too big :)I'd love not to look like a 12 year old girl running!

  2. Same story here. Nursing two kids and running because it is cheaper than therapy:) It seems like the more I run, even if I am not losing weight, the smaller my chest gets. I wear sports bras instead of regular bras because even an a cup is a little too big. Handful may be right up my ally!

  5. I would love this bra for a couple reason. I am also very lucky to be a B cup now adays and would LOVE something that didnt make me feel 13 but most importantly after losing over 120 pounds I am FINALLY able to wear "normal" sizes and not only shop at chubby stores for bras and the opportunity to win something so flattering and functional would be FABULOUS! THanks for doing this giveaway! :)

  6. I would love the handful bra because I am in desperate need of a new sports bra and I can't seem to find one that I love.

  11. Why do I want one?? If you've ever seen a picture of me strutting my A- cups this wouldn't really be a question! I'm so excited about this product and can't believe I haven't heard of them before!

  15. I am in the SAME boat as you! Nursing 3 babes, and plenty of running and formerly nice round B's are flat as a pancake on the top and sadly droopy on the bottom. LOL

  16. I liked them on FB. Not so sure how I feel about my 600+ followers seeing that Like, but oh well. It's me! LOL

  18. As so many ladies have commented... nursing sure sucked the life out of my chest- would love to see a sports bra that did something for me!! And so would my hubby, since I prefer the comfort of a sports bra over my fancy VS bras...

Count me in for 5 entries- blog comment, FB, I follow you, shared on my blog and shared on twitter.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I would love one although I don't need it just yet. I am nursing my 3mth old but I know what they will look like again when I stop nursing. This would be awesome!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I love the idea of the handful bra! I've always been an A cup but after nursing two babies they aren't even a perky A anymore. I need something like this sports bra!

  26. I need this bra because I was barely a B before baby #1 and am now somewhere between training bra and A. I love to run shirtless in the summer but there just aren't that many pretty bras out there for girls like me!

    ReplyDelete
  27. I liked Handful on Facebook & told them you sent me:)

    ReplyDelete
  28. I already follow your blog! (and love it, of course!) You are an inspiration to me as I start planning for baby #2. You give me hope that I can be faster and stronger as a mom.

    ReplyDelete
  29. As much as I love my barely A's (yep no barely B's here) because of the ability to run braless if that was my style I wouldn't mind actually looking like I had a little something capable of bouncing. Sounds like this bra would do the trick.

  30. I liked and commented on Facebook.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I'm also linking on my blog... although it's pretty dead right now, so I'm not sure that will do much good. :S

  32. Lost some weight after having 5 kids and now the ladies just ain't what they used to be! Hate the bras that make me look like an 11 year old boy!

    ReplyDelete
  36. I'm following you... (but not in a creepy way)

    ReplyDelete
  37. I would love this! I'm just shy of 50, but I run, so I'm in decent shape, except my A's never changed. the sports bras I have are too bulky, too "smashy", too something. This looks perfect!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I put a link on my Facebook page.

    ReplyDelete
  39. I follow you. I have for quite a long time. Love your posts!

  41. I'm noticing a trend...I breastfed 3 little ones and now I have two "little ones" that barely fill an "a" YAY! I am so not enjoying being mistaken for my kids' nanny all the time :). I would LOVE some extra oomph in my sportsbra...not to mention the comfort sounds unbelievable!

    ReplyDelete
  42. Oh my gosh, best invention ever! This definitely needs to be part of my workout wardrobe, I've been missing "the girls" I used to have but have lost since losing weight. I'm following the blog now, hope I win!

  45. Would be SO much better than my 'training bras'. And I don't mean trainging as in athletc training but as in a girl's first bra. Well maybe they aren't officially trainer's but that is what my husband calls them... would love to have a big girl's 'Handful'. The pink one would be my choice!

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'd love one because of the same reasons you love yours. Nursing and small boobs (remember in elementary school when mean boys said "itty bitty tittie committee"? HAHA!) But I will say...nursing is soooo worth it!!

And i would just LOVE the nude one because it's neutral and you can wear it under white and it not show!

    Thanks for the giveaway:)

  49. I love this! I'd like it---for no other reason that I want to look and feel good when I'm running!

  50. I am just another sad story of nursing my two children, losing my baby weight, and being left with nothing to fill my bra. This year I purchased a sports bra with built in molded cups just to give me some shape up top... I bought it specifically to wear while running a half marathon and a full marathon so I would not look like a teenage boy in the race photos! (True story.)

  84. Oh how excited I would be to try one of these out! I was nodding my head in agreement reading your reviews and back story on why you like it so much. After nursing children and re-entering the running force, I saw a post race photo of myself at full attention and was pretty embarrassed. I find myself wearing 2 or 3 other bras to try and make sure I am concealed, which only serves to flatten the already flat. So hey! Please give me a chance! Thanks! :)

    ReplyDelete
  85. I need a little "oomph" in my girls while running! What a great product.. Gives you some confidence while running... I will take that!

  87. After nursing for over a year (most of which while being pregnant with #2), and then nursing for another almost 2 years, and then re-entering the fitness/running world with a different set of girls, I have recently discovered I'm uncomfortable after runs. Not because I have so much bounce to the ounce, but because my girls are bopping away inside of my size small sports bra. Oh dear... they just aren't the same. And I need a new sports bra. So I choose pink. And black. And white. And nude. Just send them all to me... the extra skin hanging from my chest with nipples attached needs them.
